Zack Rocker Music
Bob Volpe - Proprietor Sales/Installations
History Of ZRM by Zack Rocker
Zack Rocker Muisc was opened by Bob Volpe in August of 2005 after the closing of Costello's Music in Fredonia, NY, where Bob was working at the time. ZRM was briefly located in Fredonia then was moved more central in the county in Mid-2006. Since it's inception ZRM has installed a number of Home Audio Systems, from basic home theater's to elaborate distributed whole house audio systems. Not only has ZRM done home Audio but has installed systems in local houses of worship, schools and places of business.
What about the name? Well, that's another story....ZRM was named after Bob's bass players son, Zachary Griffin. Bob wanted a kooky name that not only got people's attention but also a good laugh! And didn't sound too corporate!!
What About Bob? The details on Bob are pretty scketchy...(insert laugh here). Bob has played the drums for some 30 years and is very knowledgeable about drums, PA equipment, etc...... From 1983 -1999 he and his brother Don fronted the local band Rhodium. There's a jokes about why does the drummer run the PA system, something about having to have a truck to haul the drums...(See picture and you'll know why) So Bob also ran the bands sound system and over the years has learned a great deal about sound systems, guitars, basses, etc..that's because he had the truck to haul it (and always got stuck setting it up)..
Bob is a lifelong resident of Chautauqua Country and has worked in several factory enviroments and then at Costello's Music, all the while maintaing a working rock band. He is also involved with the local snowmobiling community.
